Karnkate
I got myself the RoG update already and is currently playing a new save as Willow.Just *BEEP*ing lucky to find a perfect spot: a savannah in between 2 pig villages with 3 beefalos for poop and company. Unfortunately the beefalos are too close to one of the pig villages and got killed by pigs (in their mating season). I think I want to go to get a new herd of 10 beefalos from the other location reaaaaally far from where I am.So yeah, my question is the name of the thread Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/40087-how-long-can-beefalos-follow-me-before-i-have-to-blow-my-horn-again/ Share on other sites
J20hawkz
Beefalo will follow you until night (they stop following then as they are asleep). I completely forgot about that .Apart from that, I don't know if it still happens in RoG or not but in my Wilson (non RoG) save, the beefalos tend to stop following me when they are able to catch me up (when I stop walking). Some just stop following me for no apparent reason, supposed that they will really follow me until they sleep :/. Try walking a bit then when you notice the beefalo are lagging behind stop for a sec until they appear on screen then walk again. I've never had an issue relocating beefalo from one area to another. Let us know how things work out. I have a RoG world at the moment, and I have found that they do stop if the catch up to you. Once they do that little grunt thing and perk up to stare at you, they stop. Don't know if this is intentional or a bug, but that's my experience. And they stop at night too, of course. Relocating beefalo is such a hassle, they're SO SLOW. the truthseeker
The horn also works well if you want to move them into a (made or found boon) Pen. Karnkate
Why can't attacked beefalos follow us for a long time? If that's possible, it will save a mountain load of time because angry beefalos run really quick. If that's possible, it will save a mountain load of time because angry beefalos run really quick. Both because the strategy is to get only the attacked Beefalo alone eventually as a viable game attack strategy built option, and another to prevent exploitation of those who hit one Beefalo and want to have a bunch of them follow the character without using the need Horn resource as intended.. Use the horn. Attack them frequently when close. But don't expect both for one easy mode.
